Here's a bit of information about us:
Who are we? We are a registered, non-profit association dedicated to providing continuous development of baseball skills to youths aged 12-18. We are affiliated with BC Minor Baseball Association.
What do we offer? In addition to our regular season of games from April thru July, we offer training and development programs year round. Through School District 67/Okanagan Skaha, we now offer an international program, where players can live here, go to school, and train/play baseball year round.
When do we run our program? Fall ball begins in early September through mid-October. Indoor Winter Ball is offered from November through March. Then, as soon as we can we hit the fields to play lots of ball with other AAA teams throughout BC from April through July in 2009. We also do two or three tournaments apart from the BCMBA schedule.
Where are we located? The Tigers' home field is located on Carmi Avenue (behind the Real Canadian Warehouse Club), in Penticton. (Go to "Fields" and see MAP.) We play Fall Ball at the McNicoll Field, under the lights. We rent school/community centre gyms during the winter months. You can reach any of the Directors by clicking the "Contacts" tab.
Why do we offer this program? Any youth who wants to develop his baseball skills and play at a more competitive (rep) level should consider joining the Tigers program. We have knowledgeable, experienced and dedicated coaches, who are passionate about the game of baseball. If a player's ambition is to play baseball at the post-secondary level, our coaches are plugged in to what's happening in the baseball world, and what opportunities are available. Some of our graduates are now playing college ball.
Contact Us for registration information. Click on "contacts" for email/telephone info.
