Happy New Year SOMBA Players and Families,

 2020 is in the books and we are looking forward to a great 2021! Our winterball programs are off to a great start. The players look very excited to be back to work with their teammates and coaches. Just a reminder of our phase 2 rules, players must wear masks in and out of the building and while in close quarters. They can remove them while doing drills socially distanced. Also no spectators are allowed to be in the building before, during or after practice. Drop off and pick up only please. Thank you for adhering to these rules and keeping everything running smoothly! It is really great to see the kids playing again. It has been chilly in the soccerplex so a warm nonrestrictive under layer is recommended.

 I am very happy to announce that this Saturday, January 16th, we will be opening registration for the spring season! We are hopeful to return to our phase 3 back to play rules by then which would entail regional play only. Our registration fees will be the same as last year pre-COVID 19. We will also be offering a payment plan option to spread out the expense to April via four payments starting Saturday and as time goes by the payments will decrease to three and two depending on when you register. The earlier you register the more spread out the payments will be. Registration will stay open until March 15th. In the event that we are practice only come April there will be a plan for registration fee restructure. 

 We are still looking for a 13U peewee director for 2021. If you or somebody you know who is organized and has a passion for baseball at the 13U level please reach out. In the next week we will be posting coaching guides on the website for 11U, 13U, 15U and 18U divisions. These will be a great resource, created by our director of player and coach development Josh Snider, for our coaches to create practice plans for their teams and continue their development as valuable members of our association. The application to become a coach for SOMBA is also available on the website.
