Letter from the President

Hello SOMBA Families,

 I hope everybody is enjoying summer and doing great! It’s been a bit since my last update so here are some updates on all things baseball. As we wind down our summer season I would like to thank everybody involved for their time and effort during our spring and summer seasons! Umpires, coaches, players and parent volunteers, we couldn’t have done it with out you. With the uncertainty during the pandemic we had many challenges to overcome and we continue to press on to provide a great baseball experience while navigating through uncertain times.

 Next up for all divisions will be the Fall Ball season. Start dates TBD. This is a developmental season where second year players move into their new divisions and get a taste of the next level they will be in the following spring.

 I would like to extend a huge congratulations to the 15U AAA Tigers, coached by Thurman Mathews and Rob Burnett, for finishing second in the division and clinching a spot in the Final Four Provincial Championship happening here in Penticton next weekend August 6th-8th! Opening ceremonies are at 12pm Friday. Here is the full schedule if you would like to come down and cheer on the local 9!
