South Okanagan Minor Baseball Association offers two winter baseball training programs; High Performance Winter Training Program & Recreation Winter Training program.

Registration is now open for the January to March 2022 sessions as noted below.

 

High-Performance Program

Our High-Performance Winter Training Program is designed for players wanting to play at the 13U AA/AAA, 15U AAA and 18U College Prep levels for our Spring/Summer baseball teams. Sessions are held at the Adidas Sportsplex in Penticton and are run by the 13U, 15U and 18U High Performance coaches.  

 

U13 (PeeWee) 

Fridays 4PM - 6PM.  (Jan 7, 14, 21, 28, Feb 4, 11, 18, 25, Mar 4, 11) 

Open to players born in 2009 & 2010 who will are interested in trying out for SOMBA’s U13 AA/AAA team in spring 2022

Cost $200.00    (Note Payment can be made in full upon registration or in two equal payments, one upon registration and one on Feb 1st, 2022.) 

 

U15 (Bantam)

Mondays 4PM-6PM.  (Jan 3, 10, 17, 24, 31, Feb 7, 14, 21, 28, Mar 7, 14) 

Open to players born in 2007 & 2008 who will are interested in trying out for SOMBA’s U15 AAA team in spring 2022

Cost $285.00 (Note Payment can be made in full upon registration or in two equal payments, one upon registration and one on Feb 1st, 2022.)

 

U18 Midget CP

Mondays & Fridays 6PM-8PM

Jan 3, 7, 10, 14, 17, 21, 24, 28, 31, Feb 4, 7, 11, 14, 18, 21, 25, 28, Mar 4, 7, 11, 14

Open to players currently registered/playing in U18 College Prep 2021 Fall/Winter Program. Players not currently playing this program, but interested can contact Head Coach Josh Snider to express their interest at js.somba@gmail.com

Cost $415.00 (Note Payment can be made in full upon registration or in two equal payments, one upon registration and one on Feb 1st, 2022.)

 

Recreational Winter Programs

Our Recreation Winter Training is designed for players at the 7U, 9U, 11U, 13U recreational levels for our Spring baseball teams.  Sessions involve indoor baseball training in the Penticton Community Centre Gym on Sundays for approximately 75 minutes per group.  The program cost is $60 and runs from January 9, 2021 to March 13, 2021, (NOTE: No session on February 27, 2021)

 

Time slots are as follows; (Time slots could change depending on the number of players registered per group)

U7 TBall 3:30 - 4:45

U9 Tadpole 4:45 - 6:00

U11 Mosquito 6:00 - 7:15

U13 PeeWee 7:15 - 8:30
