13U BC Selects – Team Interior

This past weekend 5 of our 13U Tigers players alongside coaches Cole Marven, Thurman Matthews and Dale Mullins, took part in the 2023 BCMBA Team BC 13U Selects Development Weekend Tournament.  The players, London Funk (1st base, Pitcher, CF), Jace Rutten (Pitcher, SS), Nash Marven (Pitcher, 1st base, CF) Sam Mullins (Catcher, 2nd base) and Mac Aubie (2nd base, SS, CF) were Selected to play for Team Interior.

The development weekend consisted of a try out on Friday evening and then a double knock out style tournament against Team Island, Lower Mainland East and Lower Mainland West. Team Interior were undefeated all weekend to take out the Championship!

This tournament is considered a showcase for the players and from there players will be selected based on their skill for Team BC.  15 spots are open so we are confident we will have some representation from SOMBA!  - Players selected will be on Team BC and will head down to Nevada for a Perfect Game Tournament in September.
