The registration fees for each division are as follows: (these include a processing fee of 3% +$1 per registrant) - note: AA or AAA teams may have extra team fees to be collected later.

  • 7U (born 2017/2018) - $150.35  
  • 9U (born 2015/2016) - $201.85 
  • 11U (born 2013/2014) - $263.65 
  • 13U (born 2011/2012) - $294.55
  • 15U (born 2009/2010) - $320.30 
  • 18U (born 2006/2007/2008) - $335.75

Registration Information

South Okanagan Minor Baseball Association (SOMBA) strives to ensure that all interested players can play. The availability of Recreational, High Performance & Summer programs and the number of teams for each Division may vary as they are based on player registration numbers, Volunteer Coach availability and field availability.

SOMBA offers Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall baseball programs. SOMBA organizes and administers local interlock or house leagues for Spring & Fall seasons and BC Minor Baseball Association (BCMBA) administers Single Season & Summer Season leagues and Provincial Championships.

Registration fills quickly, so we encourage you to register early!

Winter Training Program

January – March (registration November1 - December 15)

Spring Program

April – June (registration January 15 - March 1)

Summer Program

June – July/August (tryouts mid-late june) 
Requirement: player must have played in the Spring Program

Fall Program

September – mid-October (registration August 1-15)
Note: players transition to the Division they will play in the following Spring


Program details (ie. location, days of week, times, etc) are subject to change and can only be determined once registration closes. 

SCHEDULING 

Indoor Winter Training Program - the sessions are typically 1-2 days/week for 1-2 hours each. The days of the week have traditionally been Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and/or Friday.

Outdoor Spring, Summer, and Fall Programs - there are typically Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday practices/games (1-2 hours for younger Divisions and 2-3 hours for older Divisions) & game/tournament play on the weekends, as applicable for each Division.
