The 18U Division has tiered level of play (AA, AAA, College Prep) and offers opportunities for high school players to maintain and/or advance their baseball skills. 18U fields both Recreational (AA), for players who just want to have some fun and hone their baseball skills, and High Performance baseball (AAA/College Prep), for players with aspirations of playing at the college level. High Performance teams will have tryouts and will require more travel and additional team fees.

Primary Field: Carmi Field at 400 Carmi Avenue Penticton, BC Carmi School | City of Penticton

Equipment: batting helmet, baseball glove, bat, protective jock/jill, baseball pants, cleats (runners for indoor facilities)

Winter training program: January – March (indoor facilities)

Spring Recreational Program (18U AA): April – June (house league)

BC Minor Single Season High Performance Program (18U AAA/College Prep): April – July/August

BC Minor Summer Program (18U AA) June – July/August

Fall Recreational program (18U AA): September – mid-October (weather permitting)

Fall High Performance program (18U AAA/College Prep): September – mid-October (weather permitting)

Evaluations: Evaluations are used in the Recreational program in Spring (early April) and Fall (early September) to assist in balanced team selection if registration supports having more than one team.

Tryouts: Tryouts are used in the High Performance/BC Minor programs in Single Season (September of the previous year), Summer (mid-late June) and Fall (early September, for the following year) to select players with the skill level and commitment needed for these competitive levels of play.

Coaching: The 18U program relies primarily on Volunteer Coaching, with Contract Coaching available for the Winter Training Program and the 18U AAA/College Prep team. Please register to Head Coach or Assistant Coach if you are able.
