The 9U Division offers opportunities for new and returning players to learn baseball fundamentals and the rules of the game in a safe and inclusive environment. In addition to player pitchers, games will also utilize pitching machines to ease the transition into game play. BC Minor Baseball Association’s Fair Play rule applies at the 9U level. Players will be given opportunities to play all positions. Each team will typically be comprised of 12 players depending on the number of registrants and Volunteer Coaches.

Equipment: batting helmet, baseball glove, protective jock/jill, baseball pants, cleats (runners for indoor facilities)

Programs:

Winter Training Program: January – March (indoor facilities)

Spring Recreational Program: April - June

Summer Recreational Program: June – July/August

Fall Recreational Program: September – mid-October (weather permitting)

Evaluations: Evaluations are used in Spring (early April), Summer (mid-late June) and Fall (early September) to assist in balanced team selections.  

Coaching: The 9U program relies fully on Volunteer Coaching. Please register to Head Coach or Assistant Coach if you are able.
